This hugely successful BOSS squad won the Top Team Trophy in the 1987-88 Aer Lingus Open Gala in Dublin. BOSS boasted 16 gold medals, 9 silver and 5 bronze medals and also claimed Top Man of the Meet Award and smashed 4 gala records.

Success for this group of BOSS swimmers who participated in the 1988 Southend Scanwim event at Warrior Square. They completed the highest number of laps and their trophies were presented by Scanswim co-ordinator Ken Harden and Southend Councillor Ernie Lockhart.
The “BOSS” squad appearing in Redbridge Borough kit in 1984. BOSS were hosted by Redbridge Borough Swimming Club for one year while waiting for their own affiliation to Southern Counties Amateur Swimming Association (SCASA) which was granted in 1985.
